Paper Playtime's May Digi Monday Challenge!

Card #150

TALL card measures 9" x 8" and scored @ 4".
"I Love You" wood stamp from Michael's dollar bin.
Digi Image from Ai Factory, one of our many sponsors this month.
The adorable digi image was digitally colored by our daughter, Kati. You can find her website here. Feel free to contact her if you have black and white digital images you'd love to be digitally colored by her. Tell her you were sent over by her MAMA and you'll get a discount. :)
I cut 2 squares @ 1" and then diagonal cut them for the corner matting of the image.
Black mat was cut @ 8 3/4" x 3 3/4".
Green heart mat was cut @ 8 1/2" x 3 1/2".
All solid papers are from Recollections, and the green heart background paper is from Recollections ALL GIRL stack.

This next card was made also using Ai Factory images digitally colored by KATI LEWIS.com
This card is 6" x 12" and scored @ 6".
Card #151

Card base and striped background papers are both from K & Company Simply Sweet Stack.
The Pink strips were cut @ 2 1/2" x 6" and 1 1/2" x 6".
The "U and Me" sentiment was handwritten.

For my next card, I used  a digi image from Bugaboo Stamps, who is also one of our many sponsors this Challenge for Digi Monday @ Paper Playtime.

Card #152

I hand wrote "You & Me" for the sentiment with an Ultra Fine Tip black Sharpie.
I used Blue matting paper from Recollections which matched this ribbon perfectly.
The button has some black splattered in it, and it's from Bag of Buttons from Hobby Lobby.
The black and white pattern papers are from a friend, so I'm not sure which paper stack they came from, but most likely they are from a DCWV stack.

Come see what the other Design Team members have created this week with images from more of our Digi Sponsors! And don't forget to play along with us. The theme is WEDDING or LOVE.  Show us what you can make!

New, Bright Crocheted Baby Blanket with Pom Pom Edging

Here's a new baby blanket I made yesterday with very bright colors.
I love the way it turned out!

I found this PomPom yarn - first time I've seen anything like this. I crocheted this all around the edges. So soft and pretty!

Once again, I used the same pattern from this cool crochet book I got at Joann's.  I just made the blanket a little smaller for a BABY size.

Hmmmm.... wonder what I'll crochet today?  Make a bookmark?

I'll be adding this post to Alex's MADE IT MYSELF MONDAYS.  It's a new linking party that starts TODAY!  Go check it out!!

Smiles!
:) Janis

Crocheted Baby Blankets

Doesn't this pile of yarn look like yummy fun?!
We are moving next week from Texas back to South Carolina.
I've got all my Cricut and fun paper toys all packed up,
but not my yarn and crochet hooks!
I'm currently working on 2 projects.

This first project is a crib blanket for our next grandbaby which is expected this September.  I'm using our son's favorite color, yellow, and Nhi's (pronouce "knee") favorite color, green.  I added in some black for a neutral color.

This other project is just for fun. It's going to be a sofa blanket using all these fun colors. Love these colors!

Not finished with either project yet, but you get the idea.
Both patterns came from this book I got at Joann's.

What I really like about this book, is 1) all the pages and photos are in full color and 2) all the patterns tell you the repeat math. In other words, instead of telling you row by row how to make an entire blanket the size they determined beforehand, it tells you the repeat pattern number.  So the very colorful blanket I'm making is a repeat pattern of 17.  For my beginning chain, I crochet 17 times and then another 17 and then another until I get the size of the blanket I want. Then I start the 2nd row with the pattern instructions.  Some of the patterns will say a repeat pattern of 21+5 or 11+7, etc.  I love that!

You guys have a fun weekend! Go be creative and make something!
Hugs!
:) Janis

Digi Design Team Call for Paper Playtime

Hi all my Crafty friends!  My Challenge Blog, PAPER PLAYTIME, is looking for 2 new Digi Design Team members.  Do you like to create with Digital Images? If so, this may be something you'd be interested in.

Paper Playtime has several Digi Sponsors for our Digi Monday each month. Digi Mondays are always the LAST Monday of the month.  We are looking for applicants who love using Digi images and feel comfortable creating with them.  As part of the Digi Design Team, you are only required to submit ONE project a month!

Our Digi Mondays are very popular with hundreds of participants each month.

If you would like to be considered for our Digi Design Team, here's what you need:
1) You MUST have a blog
2) You must be familiar and comfortable using Digi images
3) You must be committed to getting your project done each month and submitted on time. (We recommend you finish your project early and get it submitted to us so if something comes up later in the month, your project is already done.)

We will provide you with FREE digi images from the sponsor you are assigned to for you to use in your project each month. You should receive the image(s) during the first week of the month so you have all month to get it done.  When using this image for your Paper Playtime post OR for any other post, you MUST link back to the sponsor every time.

If this is something you are interested in applying for, please submit your name, email, and blog link with the INKLINKZ button below.  In addition, please email me, Janis, at northrose@slowar.com attaching a few projects you've created with digi images.  Remember, we are only looking to add 2 new Digi Design Team members.

Thanks for considering joining our team! We look forward to hearing from you!
