I love all the sets that MFPS came out with this month. Wait... I always love all the sets they come out with each month. LOL They are always fun and get the creative juices flowing! I can't wait to show you the card I made for today's featured stamp set. It just makes me smile from ear to ear.

Project # 425 of this year
  • A2 size card 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  • Black mat cut @ 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Red dotted mat cut @ 5 1/4" x 4"
  • MFPS "Buried Treasure" for map stamp. I tore the edges by hand, then held a lighter to the edges to burn them. (Kids, Don't try this at home!) And then thought this would have been a lot easier just inking the edges with black ink... which I also ended up doing. LOL Should have just skipped the burning of the edges and gone straight to the black ink, and then I would not have had to smell burning paper... which is not pleasant like a nice scented candle.
  • MFPS "Buried Treasure" for sentiment stamp "Pirate in Training"
  • Elegant Edges used for sentiment mat. It's the "butterfly 2" Border cut on page 51 cut @ 3" long and then inked around the edges.
  • Trick or Treat used to cut out Pirate Boy at 4 1/4"

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Aren't these Buried Treasure stamps awesome?! Be sure and come back tomorrow. More fun projects and more fun stamps to be seen and enjoyed!  Your next stop is Cathy C.! Woo-Hoo!

Argh!

  7. Janis, Your comments really made me smile! Thanks. Darling card...I wanted to burn my edges but made the card late at night and was too lazy to get some kind of fire:) I opted for the ink as well:)

  12. Captain Jack Sparrow says you will not be walking the plank with this card. Especially like the torn edges of the paper & the fact that you used a lighter to burn the edges and had no damage to your house. Yo ho ho & a bottle of rum.
